Fill Me In (Ryan Hemsworth Bootleg) – Craig David

January 3, 2013

And I’m back in action; got my new computer, I’m learning Windows 8, and I’m installing every program I can think of that I need. It’s time to blog. I spotted this song on Pigeons and Planes awhile ago and now it’s time to share with you all. Ryan Hemsworth took the 2001 track from Craig David and gave it a brand new instrumental. While the original had a smooth and silky finish, like much pop R&B of the time, Hemsworth gives it a darker, grittier sound. Ominous high violin synths set the mood for a more mid-range hook and an 808 beat. Adding a grungier undertone to the lyrics, Hemsworth introduces a squeaky bed sound to the beat. The overall effect is far more engaging than the original. Give it a listen.
