Suddenly Mashups. Everywhere. LI

April 6, 2012

It’s Friday! Oh thank the Lady. I have had a very trying week full of work and a distinct lack of sleep. You might think this would make me want to sleep. Strangely enough it only makes me want to party. So let’s get started!!

Settipalli Productions just dropped this brand spanking new (I’m not sure what makes it spanking, but I’m sure it is) mashup for us and it is epic. It just keeps building! This makes it the perfect song to start with. Check this out!

The Hood Internet delivers our next dose of awesome with this Snoop Doggy Dogg dubstep banger. Snoop probably likes being associated with the term banger, and this mashup proves it musically. Slick and addictive. Give it a listen!

But wait! We’re not done with dubstep yet! Let’s throw some “Ruffneck Bass” on a mashup classic from Khia. DJ Burnout made my favorite version of Khia yet, that’s for sure. Enjoy!

You know what? I’m missing Snoopy already. Here’s another White Panda snip off of Bambooyah!. Looking forward to the full version. Owl City works in an amusing way with Snoop. Check it out!

So I tend not to hear new pop music unless mashup artists like it. So that’s how I learned about Carly Rae Jepson. It’s a cute song. Kosher Kittens takes it and fits it with less cute male counterpart to her narrative. Give it a listen!

In case the production on the last track wasn’t crisp enough for you, here’s the latest from Big Z Remixes. This guy’s trademark is just how crisp the production is. It’s gorgeous. I love the old time-y feel. Enjoy it!

It feels like quite some time since I last posted anything from Loo & Placido. I recognize this as a moral failing in myself and aim to correct it. Here’s a typically gorgeous reggae track from them. Check it out!

It’s been awhile since Mashup-Germany has gifted us with anything. Want to know why? He was working on an album for us! If you’re patient, I’ll post it within the hour. In the meantime, here is one of the last songs he put out. Give it a listen.

So DJ Earworm dropped a track a few weeks ago. I wasn’t immediately impressed so I didn’t blog it. But the reggae vibes grow on you. And I guess that’s a problem of awesome artists, we hold them to very high standards. So I felt obligated to share. Enjoy and have a great weekend!
