Fear Not the Dubstep XXIIIOctober 13, 2011
Well it’s Thursday and I’ve managed to steal some time for dubstep! You should all be proud. Also this is a warning. Next week is a week commonly known as Midterms. I will be in mental agony for much of it. It may come to pass that I may not post for a day or two. But don’t worry, Midterms hasn’t killed me yet. But that’s a story for another week. Let’s listen to some dubstep.
Three words. Super Smash Bros. And then two more. Meets dubstep. Thank you Oblivion! We are all very grateful for it.
And to continue some nerdy dubstep, or nerdstep if you will, let’s remix Star Wars. I don’t usually leave song files in all caps, because let’s face it, it’s a little annoying. However this is Star Wars so it’s different. Grimblee knows what the people like. Did you know that after Star Wars came out, one of the most popular songs on the radio in the USA was a medley of the Star Wars songs (with the sound effects). Think of this as a modern, superior version of that. Enjoy!
This is not quite dubstep but what is these days? There is a definite wob line in the middle of this track though, so I’m throwing it on anyways. Seven Lions gives Oceanlab some bass. And the end effect is pretty great. Check it out.
Remember this track? Well it’s still good and Quincy Kwalae brought it fresh life with this smooth remix. The wobs come in and just rage. It’s great. Give it a listen.
Russo is epic already. But when Shock One remixed this track it got upped to the next level. Also I have trouble getting past the lyrics “I’m a be, I’m a be.” I know they continue but I always hear “I’m a bee!” Ah well. Awesome song. Enjoy.
I hope you had a good dubstep day. But now it’s time to get ready for a mashup day tomorrow with a track from Wick-it the Instigator, who also makes awesome mashups. This one however, seems entirely original (I’m not counting one word samples). Either way this is an epic track to end on. Enjoy!
