NY is Killing Me – Hoodie Allen

NY is Killing Me

Hoodie’s newest song came out yesterday. He says about it:

“NY is Killing Me” tells the story of the love-hate relationship I have with the city that raised me and the creatures that make it so hard to be there and even tougher to leave.

“NY is Killing Me” is a remix of the Jamie XX and Gil Scott-Heron song of the same name. I hope you enjoy my added perspective to an already killer track and look forward to more music in the coming month.

I’m liking it. To be honest, it reminds me a lot of Eminem’s “Superman,” but he doesn’t seem to be ripping off the style so much as using it in his own way. At any rate, it’s pretty cool. Check it out.

  1. I gotta admit I did not dig this track when I first heard it, but it’s growing on me. I guess I’m just missing the traditional upbeat Hoodie style

    • Yeah, I felt the same way. I didn’t like it too much at first but I’m liking it more and more as I cycle through my “Recently Added” playlist.
