Seven Nation Army (The Glitch Mob Remix) – the White Stripes

February 15, 2011

So I’ve been busy. Sunday I went and saw Streetlight Manifesto and got stuck in Cleveland. Awesome show, completely packed bar, good moshing, good skanking, good nose-bleed, good heat, good music. An awesome night. Then our car wouldn’t start. We ended up getting taken to a pizza place by a cop to wait for a friend to come pick us up. It was a little surreal. Anyways that’s my excuse for the lack of a post on Sunday. Monday was filled with work. So I’m throwing this fun track up to make sure I get a post up today. I’m going through music now to see if anything new is postable, but so far not really (this track is about a week old).
I love electro remixes of rock songs and that’s pretty much what this is. The Glitch Mob emphasizes the dark angsty side to this song with some lovely distortion and bass. Enjoy it.

  1. Nice.
I always prefer remixes where the philosophy is to build a track primarily (or entirely) out of audio from the original song. This is a fun example, although the mild headache I had before might be a tiny bit less mild after listening . . .

    • yeah, it’s definitely an aesthetic. ah. maybe i should post a warning. *MAY INDUCE HEADACHES*
